Dr. Gary Bowman

Unquestionably, client confidence is based on the academic background, practical training, and lived experiences of the care provider. Dr. Gary Bowman, clinical director for Propel HP, has had a long career of success serving clients who are both high-level athletes and everyday people looking for better health, fitness, and performance. He has an expansive list of both credentials and clinical experiences.

Dr. Gary earned his chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. As a student, he interned in the Palmer College Injury Rehabilitation and Sports Performance clinic. After graduation, he began working within a large hospital network in the western suburbs of Chicago where he co-managed patient care with primary care physicians, surgeons, and various medical specialists.

He has been trained and certified in various diagnostic and rehabilitation techniques such as McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and therapy, dynamic neuromuscular stabilization through the Prague School of Rehabilitation, dry needling techniques, and various instrument assisted soft-tissue methods. He studied Vojta therapy in France with leading French physical therapist Hugo Legache. There he gained unparalleled access to training and treating conditions of the nervous system.

Earning his master’s degree in sport science and rehabilitation from Logan University in Chesterfield, MO, he has completed countless additional hours of rehab and performance course work. He has also completed the Buchberger 12 shoulder diagnosis and rehabilitation program, the Carrick Institute Human Performance program, and various courses with the Strong First school of strength. He has experience rehabilitating and reconditioning athletes from all sports and levels of competition from professionals to Olympians, and NCAA athletes to amateurs.

Most recently, Dr. Bowman has taken his approach to the next level by adding diagnostic ultrasound, soundwave therapy and regenerative medicine to his practice. All of these measures improve patient outcomes and speed up recovery times. He now works with a network of providers to include the use of peptide therapy as well as joint and soft-tissue injections.
